“It’s almost 43 degrees out there and we’re volunteering for Good Samaritans India founded by Mr. George Rakesh.
My friends Swapna, Karuna, and I are handing out free Ragi malt and food to the homeless and general public at Secunderabad bus stand. We’ve been working hard to help the elderly and poor for a while now, and this summer we’re stepping it up.
As we distribute the Ragi malt and food packets to the needy, we see the relief in people’s eyes. They’re so grateful for the cool drink and nutritious snack, and it’s heartbreaking to think about how much they’re struggling in this heat. One elderly man who was homeless even started crying when we gave him a bottle of Ragi malt, saying it was the first time in the last 17 years that someone sensed his thirst.
But we’re not just stopping at the general public. We’re also donating to the hardworking bus drivers and conductors of TSRTC, who are out in the scorching heat all day, every day. They’re the ones who keep our city moving, and they deserve our gratitude and support. When we handed out Ragi malt and food to them, they were overwhelmed with gratitude, saying it was a small but much-needed respite from the heat.
Thanks to our amazing donors and volunteers, we’re making a real difference in people’s lives. And with the temperature soaring to 45 degrees, we feel like it’s our responsibility to lend a hand.
We’ve been dedicated to serving the elderly and poor through Good Samaritans India for a long time. And this summer, we’re doing our part to beat the heat with kindness and compassion. Join us and together, let’s make Hyderabad a better place for everyone!”
