“Hi! I’m Aishwarya and I study in class 3. My school has declared holidays for one month because of the virus outbreak in our country. My principal and other teachers asked us to wash our hands well and keep ourselves protected by staying at home to control the spread of that virus.
It’s been only eight days but am already missing all my friends. Even though I am feeling bad about not meeting my teachers or friends, I am extremely happy because both my mom and dad are together at home after a long time. My amma runs a boutique and nana goes for shoots across the world because he makes movies. So I never get to see both of them together. I love my amma and nana so much as they take care of me more than any one else in the world. I always felt bad when my friends said that they were enjoying summer holidays with their parents, because my amma and nana would always be busy in their work. Even during summer holidays, they both go for work while my younger brother and I stay at home. We often go for vacations but I miss their company at home because I cannot see them together everyday. But now, I am happy that I am able to play games with them. I watch Amma cook and I am trying to learn from her. She is making all my favorite food now.
I am also sad because our country is going through this situation. I’ve heard a lot of big words and instructions on TV, but the best part of it was “Stay home, stay safe”!”
