“My life took a dramatic turn when I left my corporate career to pursue my passion for baking. It wasn’t an easy decision, but it’s one I’ll never regret. I felt unfulfilled in my 9-to-5 job, like something was missing. After having my second child, I realized I wanted to do something more creative and fulfilling. I wanted to be my own boss, create something from scratch, and make people happy with my culinary skills.
My husband encouraged me to take the leap and enroll in a baking course. He saw the passion in me and knew I had what it took to succeed. That’s when things started falling into place. I enrolled in a professional baking course during the lockdown, and it was the best decision I ever made. I learned about the art of baking, from basics to customized designs.
As I honed my skills, I started taking small orders online. It was nerve-wracking at first, but with each order, I gained confidence. Eventually, I built up my brand. It’s been a challenge balancing work and family life, but every time I see a happy customer, it makes it all worth it. I love seeing the smile on someone’s face when they take a bite of the cakes I prepare.
I’m grateful for my family’s support, especially my husband’s. He’s been my biggest cheerleader throughout this journey. He helps me with the kids, the business, and everything in between. I couldn’t have done it without him. To all the women out there, I say don’t be afraid to chase your passion, even if it means taking a risk. It’s never too late to pursue your interests and find happiness.”
