“Dhabas have been associated with earthy hospitality and comfort food that tourists and truck drivers look forward to. That’s exactly what I focus on offering my customers.
I moved to the Nalgonda district from my hometown, Ludhiana, to work at a local Dhaba of a family friend. It was never easy moving to a new town as one has to prove their worth in all aspects. But I trusted the process and eventually succeeded in settling down here along with my family.
Until my wedding, I had dealt with life one day at a time. I have always been open to my wife’s opinion in educating our children and it was my wife who changed my perspective on everything. Upon her suggestion, I decided to enter the Dhaba line full-time. We both worked hard and supported each other during our highs and lows. Eventually, we were able to start a Dhaba of our own.
We recently moved to Yadadri – Warangal National Highway and started our new Punjabi Dhaba here as this place has developed tremendously over the last few years.
The secret to establishing a dhaba lies in the way of ambiance and style of cooking. When we cook, we focus on the right mix of masalas and we also ensure that we cook it hygienically.
I am happy now as the people here know us well and I have grown so fond of this place that it has become my second home.”
