We have a history of over 100 years in tabla making and repairs. It’s our Walid saab and brothers who started at Afzalgunj.

Many customers along with the people from the film industry have visited our shop. People often ask why we haven’t moved to a larger outlet. Yes, I agree our shop is not so fancy and spacious. For us, quality matters and it’s always of greater importance than the fancier space.
Whatever we make, we sell it here.

I am not sure if this work will appeal to the newer generation as it is too much hard work. But my brothers and I with wish to train more youngsers in this field. We also want to continue this traditional business among our next generation with Allah’s blessings.

I only wish the essence of music is not lost with the alternative digital instruments available in the market because none can replace the traditional handmade instrument’s sound and quality.”
