“My name is Aashish and I have a weird interest in building and making ‘Games’.
Game Development has not been my goal from the very beginning. I was into playing Cricket and was pretty serious at it until I hit my 10th Grade. I stopped my Cricket to score good in my 10th board exams, which didn’t really happen. I obviously did play games like Mario, GTA San Andreas etc. by that time.
And one fine day, my mom asked me if I knew what happens inside the computer when I press down the keys on keyboard. That peaked my curiosity. And from that day on, I could never look back and been into Gaming and Game Development.
Game development is not really a big thing yet in India and not a lot of people are fond of it but the Game Industry is fortunately the biggest Industry out there crossing over 173.70 Billion Dollars Net Worth world wide and easily higher that the Film and the Music Industry Combined. A lot of people think or assume that Game Industry isn’t really sustainable but trust me, it needs more and more people making games because People do play games but not a lot build em.
I’ve got very lucky in terms of my parents and them being supportive and understanding.
My parents had a clear image when it came to my studies because I barely studied at all due to all the time spent playing cricket, therefore my parents didn’t really expect a lot upon my studies. But when I asked them about Game Development, they did their fair amount of research and were really happy for what I’ve chosen to do as my full time career.
Logan Paul. This man had me wondering on how people could do so much in just the little time they have. Logan Paul has been my motivation for almost 4 years now and he is known because most of the people hate him. And I love how he takes all that criticism and hate to his own advantage and works like an animal.
I did start a YouTube channel which is mostly about gaming and stuff but I really am inconsistent because of all the work I have as a Game Developer.
My message to everyone and anyone reading this is, please don’t be scared to talk to your parents, they do listen to you if you have valid points about your career!”
