“It’s finally Christmas!! For as long as I can remember, we’ve been celebrating Christmas with great pomp at home. Even as a baby, I’d be the most excited and would set up the Christmas tree and the Crib well in advance. The lightings, decorations, buying and exchanging gifts, gorging on lovely food and Church visits make me very happy. I believe Santa is real and every year I look forward to waking up to gifts under my tree. My mother is a Christian, while my father, a Hindu. So, I get to celebrate and partake both festivals equally. It’s so festive all through the year. About 5 years back, I baked my first ever chocolate cake. Since then, the week before Christmas has been all about baking! Honestly, the first cake wasn’t all that nice. It was undercooked and raw. But a few attempts later, I did it! Today, everyone loves my cakes. My mom makes the Christmas cake as well. I’m yet to master that, but I help her make it. Together, we make many desserts to gift near and dear ones on Christmas. Donuts, Sponge cakes, Cup Cakes and of course, the Christmas Cake. We make sure that our Christmas greetings reach all our knowns through our bakes. It is, after all, the season to be jolly and spread that joy with everyone else.”
