“We never imagined our everyday life would be seen by people outside our village. We’re just two old friends—Rajaya and Laxmaiah—from a small village called Gundlapalli in Yadagirigutta Mandal. Our friendship goes back more than 50 years. From working in the fields during our youth to sitting under the same tree in our old age, we’ve lived like brothers.
We never thought anything about it—it’s just how life has always been. But a young man named Shiva, who is from our village, used to watch us every day. One day, he started taking videos—us chatting, farming, cooking, or just passing time. We thought he was doing it for fun.
He put those videos online, on something called Instagram and YouTube. We didn’t know what that was. But slowly, people began noticing. Some commented saying it reminded them of their grandfathers. Others said they missed their village. Some even sent us blessings from far-off places.
That’s when Rajaya Vlogs started. It wasn’t planned. Nothing we do is scripted. It’s just our daily life—the way we talk, the way we joke, the way we work together. Shiva says that’s what people love. We still laugh about it. For us, it’s normal. But for others, it seems to bring back memories.

Shiva has taken this seriously now. He’s doing this full-time. He tells us he wants to show how people in villages live—how we stay close to each other, how we support one another, how we find happiness in small things. Whether it’s making rice porridge on a firewood stove or sharing a mango during summer, this is our life.
We’re glad that it means something to others. We’re not actors. We’re not trying to be anything else. We just live the way we always have. If that makes someone smile or remember their roots, that’s a good thing.
As long as we’re around, and as long as Shiva wants to keep filming, we’ll be here. Sitting on the same cot, sipping tea, and talking about the past—like we always do.
Thanks to everyone who watches, who writes to us, and who sees a bit of their own life in ours. You’ve become a part of our story too.”
