“I’d be lying if I said that climbing up a tree and extracting toddy is easy. It takes a lot of hard work, but over the years, I learnt that nothing comes easy. Everything requires struggle. It is sad that today’s generation only wishes to consume imported spirits and drinks, while partying. Nobody wants to try this organic one. I don’t promote liquor but toddy helps get rid of kidney stones if consumed in the right amount and manner. However, seems like the government cares about wine shops only. In the last few years, so many of them have opened up in every village and town. I see 15-year-olds drinking whisky. The state of the next generation worries me. I wish better and stricter rules are put in place, especially for alcohol consumption!”
