“Back in 2017, at the age of 18, I regularly visited Indira Park in Hyderabad for my daily weight training sessions. Despite my focus on building muscle strength, one day, an enthralling sight grabbed my interest. A guy was effortlessly navigating obstacles, scaling massive walls, and performing agile stunts without missing a beat. Intrigued, I approached him and inquired about his remarkable moves. “Parkour, bro!” he exclaimed.
Intrigued, I delved into the world of Parkour, an action sport emphasizing efficient movement through running, climbing, and jumping. Through YouTube videos and guidance from my mentor, Yasaswy Modukuru, I immersed myself in rigorous training. Six months later, I had transformed my abilities and skills in this dynamic discipline.
What I cherish most about Parkour is the constant self-improvement, witnessing progress over time. Despite the inherent risks, the sport provides an opportunity to refine technique through training and sheer willpower. Breaking emotional and mental barriers while learning to control both body and emotions became integral aspects of my Parkour journey.
Fast forward to today, nearly six years later, and I’m not just a Parkour enthusiast; I’m also a trainer. It brings me immense satisfaction to guide people in my gym. They encounter risks, but relish that thrill, embracing challenges, finding joy in progress, experiencing the rush of acrobatics, and the freedom of movement. I’ve participated in Parkour events across various cities in India and dedicated the last two years to training others in this beautiful sport. My gym, fuerz_monkey, is equipped with walls, platforms, and structures designed for comprehensive Parkour training.
Beyond the physicality, Parkour is a lifestyle for me. I’m grateful for the support I’ve received on this journey and strive to spread awareness about Parkour in our country.
Join my #parkourcommunity, and let’s transcend boundaries together. Whether it’s the thrill of overcoming obstacles or the freedom of movement, let’s explore the dynamic world of Parkour.”
