“My yoga journey began in 2019 when I was going through a difficult phase. What started as a daily practice soon became a steady source of strength, clarity and happiness. Even after moving to the US in 2020 for my higher studies, I made sure not to miss a single day—despite the demanding schedule of classes, assignments and deadlines.
After completing my master’s and starting work at a reputed MNC, I followed my dream of becoming an Internationally Certified Yoga Instructor in 2022. I worked 8 hours a day, trained for 2 more and still made time to practise. In 2023, I became a certified Therapeutic Yoga Teacher, allowing me to offer sessions for over 40 health concerns.
Most mornings start with my own practice or the online classes I teach three times a week. Beyond teaching, I plan sessions, design posters and manage content for my page.
Driven by the peace and transformation yoga gave me, I began sharing my journey on Instagram. It became a space to express not just my passion but also my challenges and growth. Sharing this path has helped me connect with others, and in the process, deepen my own practice too.
A turning point was when the North American Telugu Association featured my story and crowned me Ms NATA Austin. Their recognition opened doors to connect with many wonderful individuals, some of whom have since become my students. It reminded me of the joy that comes from teaching and meaningful connection.
This year’s International Yoga Day theme, Yoga for One Earth, One Health, reflects everything I believe in—well-being that starts within and reaches far beyond.”
