“We’ve been attending the Koti Deepotsavam for the past few years, volunteering and performing cultural programmes at NTR Stadium in Hyderabad. This year, the event started on 1 November and goes on till 13 November 2025.

Koti Deepotsavam, organised by Bhakthi TV, is one of the biggest spiritual gatherings in the country. It’s during Karthika Masam and features the lighting of one crore diyas, symbolising faith and devotion. The event brings together rituals and traditions from Shakti Peetams, Jyotirlingas, temples, and other sacred centres across India.
Families, students, and volunteers all gather for the same purpose, and that’s what makes it special. Being part of it every year really reminds us why we love keeping these traditions alive.

We volunteer in different ways, arranging flowers, helping with stage decorations, performing in cultural programmes, and taking part in Kolatam. We grew up watching our elders perform Kolatam during festivals, and now it’s our turn to carry that tradition forward. It always feels good to be part of it.”
