“If you come to the Lakdikapool area and ask for Irani chai, everyone will point out at us. That’s what our authentic Niloufer chai and Osmania biscuits are known for and it feels great that our café is one of the most popular cafes in the city.
The reason? Well, we never compromise on the quality, taste and freshness. All our products are freshly made and every hour, they go straight from our kitchen to the customers.

I was born in a small village
called Laggaon in Adilabad District. During my schooling years, I used to work at my uncle’s shop to support my family. One instance that always bothered me was when my father sold our cow to provide money for my books. I knew what that cow meant to our family but just to provide for my education, my father had to sell our cow and it hit me the most in life.

I later decided to earn it for myself and left home after completing my tenth. I moved to Hyderabad in 1971 in search of work. After doing menial jobs for a few years, I got a job at Café Niloufer in 1975 as a table cleaner. In due course of time, I got promoted to a supervisor. Later, I got the opportunity to run the hotel and signed a contract with the owner in 1978. A million thanks to the love of our customers, the business grew by leaps and bounds. And in the year 1991, I was able to purchase the property with a lot of struggle and hard work.

Our biggest challenge has been to expand without compromising on the quality and taste of the products. We make sure that all our stakeholders are happy and satisfied. Our workers are always on the go and we train them in certain life skills including computer education.

God had given me and my family the strength to survive through difficulties in life and I am always thankful for everyone who supported me through thick and thin. Because of that, I have decided to contribute my part to society by serving 100-150 people with at least two meals a day for free and I have been doing the service for the last 14 years.

The life lesson I have learnt? Stay happy and keep the people around happy because you never know what’s tomorrow would be like?”
