“When I first saw the film Mayabazar, it left a mark on me and made me believe that films can create an impact on people. As a 9-5 job has different hiring procedures; similarly, filmmaking has its methods, but not as quantitative techniques. Here, you have to build yourself by creating innovative ideas and portfolios.

My father used to relocate every three years, and starting in our preteen years, we moved in and around Telangana and Rayalaseema regions. As a result, I enjoyed a childhood filled with lovely memories. I noticed how the culture changed over time and between different regions. I relocated to Hyderabad and finished my MBA in Finance and Bachelors in Bcom Hons. After that, I started working as an investment banker, but I had the impression that I belonged somewhere else, was the odd one out, or was occupying someone else’s seat. These were the thoughts that kept rattling around in my head. Eventually, I got an opportunity to work in New York and I flew there and continued as an investment banker.

After 2 years, I discussed it with my manager and my exit was pretty clear and understandable. The true problem was figuring out what to do next and how to do it in order to break into the film industry. With the assistance of my friends who were employed there, I used to attend filming locations and study everything with deep interest: the direction, the screenplay, etc. I began networking and learning about the wide world of filmmaking. I talked about my ideas with certain writers I met. Some stood out as being distinctive and different. Later, I joined IDream Media and began producing comedy clips and listicle videos. I engaged in various projects which were released and some of them ought to be in OTT Platforms as in web series and feature films.

My dad was there with me and supported me throughout and made me think twice before I quit. He made sure that I thought of every possibility and connection, and I did.
All I want to say is that if passion is your building, then perseverance should be your foundation.”
