“In the journey of life, I believe that you always have two choices; first to accept the situation you are in and maybe crib about it or to work on it and set things right in your life.
For me, shifting back to India was indeed a tough decision at my professional end but I decided to work on it by chasing my profession of mentoring. I decided to start my own classes of International Education to compensate for my decision of shifting back to India in 2011. I wanted to take control of my life at the financial and personal end.
I even had days where I would work for 20 hrs a day to set up my Institute. It was a fruitful venture and I was able to get along with life well.
2020 was an overwhelming year for me as I realised that though I have earned good professional success by buying my own building for the Institute but lost a lot on my health. So, I decided to learn hooping during Lockdown as working from home gave me enough time to work on myself in order to revive my physical and emotional health
The hobby turned into a passion and a new profession. Hooping for me is physical and mental healing. Soon I started taking workshops and during the course of Hooping workshops around the country, I realised that it was easier to learn Hooping on metal hoops than the plastic ones.
Metal hoops unfortunately were not available in India and buying it from online websites costs a lot with no cash on-delivery option as they were being imported.
I then decided to design a metal hoop locally. And that’s how we started our new venture Letushoop, and we became the first hoop manufacturer in India.
I did have my Fears of being judged by people, especially when I was planning to make my Hooping page public, as I was trying to pursue two different and contradictory fields. However, I soon realised that we all are different kinds of people and we should never try to subside our real selves in an effort to ‘FIT IN.’
Financially, emotionally and physically now well balanced, I believe that we all need to take the steering wheel of our life into our hands.”
