“The most important achievement for me in life is that I have been gifted with making friends with people. For the last 28 years, I’ve made many friends in the city and not one has gone in vain. I am humbled when my customers remember and greet me whenever they visit Tank bund. Youngsters, especially the kids chat with me like we knew each other for a long time. That certainly makes me happy to know that I am part of so many people’s happiness.

I’ve set up this ice cream stall here for quite some time. Before that, I was in Charminar for six years selling the dress material.

Hailing from the Old City in a lower-middle-class family, I decided to do business on my own at a young age. I have made a few blunders and lost quite a bit of money but I never regretted my decisions. I always felt it was me who made those choices and I am responsible to solve my problems. So I never lost hope and then started the ice cream business in Tank Bund Road. Though I sell all kinds of ice cream, the main attraction here is Chacobar. It doesn’t matter whether I earn less or more. As long as I am able to provide for my family, that is enough.”
