We first met at school and not as little kids like you all would think. We were school teachers. I have known him for the past 60 years now. More often than not, when we look back at our lives, we realize that it was quite a special journey for both of us.
You won’t believe, we had an entire group of friends that we used to hang out with, but out of all of us, we are, in fact, the only two who have stuck around for the good and the bad.
We are poles apart as two different personalities but what makes us hold on to each other is the trust we built over the years. For instance, I am not as avid a reader as he is. He prefers to visit this place every Sunday for book hunting. We make sure we meet this way, often.
There is nothing better than knowing that there is someone out there who knows every embarrassing story and doesn’t go blabbing to the world about it. That’s the kind of bond we maintain with each other.
Life isn’t always easy, and it’s hard to be in touch with people and endure the distance for years, but I’m so glad that we could. Some people call it the dark and the light, some may call it good and evil. No matter what they call it, we are glad that life has kept us united in all possible situations. We take pride in it!”
