“Today is Vijayadashami and it signifies the triumph of good over evil. Since I belong to the Telangana region, there is an overlap with Bathukamma, which is a whole experience in itself. Meeting my family members that I hadn’t seen in ages, eating together, going to the temple, and all the traditions of the festival gave me immense joy! But this year, there’s a slight difference. Instead of my family members coming to the village, I am going to their place in the city. I share a special bond with my grandchildren and they are eagerly waiting for my presence to receive their festive gifts. Even I am excited to meet them after almost a year now. My daughter in law cooks great festive recipes and I can’t wait to taste them. Moreover, there’s a weekend and we all have planned to go out for a short trip so it’s going to be even more fun.”
