“I absolutely love acting and performing Surabhi dramas! My family encouraged me to join our Surabhi Drama Theatre group when I was 4 years old. At first, I couldn’t understand the dramas but now, it’s one activity that I excitedly look forward to, in a day.

There were days in the past when I used to feel too tired for practice after coming from school earlier, but now I manage my day’s schedule pretty well. I am in class 6 right now.  I study during the daytime and practice in the evening. My parents and relatives are performing our Surabhi drama show online nowadays because of the less turnaround. I was told that the 130+ years old Surabhi Drama is the only art form in both Telugu states which includes history, mythology, drama, dance, and music, among many others.

I wish to become a doctor when I grow up and make my parents proud. However, I also wish to continue our family’s tradition of Surabhi Theatre and spread our legacy to future generations.”
