We’ve been selling these toys here for the last 15 years now here at Nagole. It’s crazy how much this place has changed over the years. The Hyd Metro station, the fancy restaurants and malls- oh well, more people for me to sell to!

The basti where we live is shared with people from other families of our hometown as well. They’re all vendors just like me. Some deal with baskets, others with bansuris, some sell toys. There can be some competition, but we still do business together and help each other out when things turn tight for survival. That’s something rare but we live with unity.

Goals? I don’t really have any big goals and dreams. As long as I can provide for my family and keep them protected, I’m happy!”
